*CLOSED* Astro Venture - Punggai - March 2009
SP Astronomers have been organising oversea stargazing trips on a regular basis.
This time, we will be going to Johor (Punggai) from:
Mar 2009 27/03/09 to 29/03/09
Along with fellow astronomers from NUS, and other schools.
5 students shares a clean aircon Chalet at S$130/- (Chalet/meals/transport).
Each chalet have one queen size/one single bed and we add 2 mattress.
Comes with built-in toilet and TV and Air-con.
Food will be halal and consist more vegetables(fibre FTW!).
Bus will pick us at 8.30pm in SP on Friday.
We will get back to Singapore at around 2pm on Sunday.
From others' past experiences, the food and beautiful dark sky are great! There's also a nice beach.
Closing date : 1/3/09
Please check your passport still has at least 6 months from expiry.

NUS Stargrazing is coming!!!
Date: 28 Feb 2009
Time: 6pm -12am
Venue: NUS Football Field (Meeting point is LT 27 foyer)
Programme
2.15pm : Meet at club to help transport scopes and set up
5.45pm : Meet at LT28 for Talk
6-7.30pm : Live Simulcast Talk at LT28
7.30-12am: Stargazing at Football field
Come join us at NUS to enjoy a one-night-only stargazing evening. Open the Jewel Box of the Southern Cross and journey along our Milky Way. Look Taurus in the eye and marvel at the beautiful Pleiades and Orion Nebulae. Learn about astronomy from their friendly experts and listen to starry legends from Greek, Indian and Chinese mythologies. You are also able to pen your own poem and stand to win attractive prizes!
We will be bringing 3 telescopes and 2 binoculars there. Don't miss your chance to exchange contacts as well!

How to get there:
Bus 33, 183, 188 will get you to the outskirts.
Bus 95 will get you to LT28
Shuttle bus should be available too
